In a survey conducted recently in Manchester among college students, college faculty, and area residents, the following were identified as "The Top Ten Reasons Manchester is a Great Place to Go to College:"

• Eleven area colleges, with over 15, 600 students of whom 8, 600 are full time.
• Verizon Wireless Arena - concerts and big venue events in a safe environment.
• Lots to do, including cultural opportunities and many semi-pro sports teams.
• Easy accessibility -airport, bus and roads.
• Prices reasonable for shopping and entertainment and no sales tax.
• Only an hour from Boston, the ocean, the Lakes Region, the mountains - and close to many ski areas.
• New Hampshire Primary and the chance to work for a candidate and meet the next US President on the campaign trail.
• An urban setting with a small town flavor in a friendly community.
• Job and internship opportunities.
• Many enjoyable restaurants, with varied atmospheres and diverse ethnic foods.
