What's an advanced degree/certificate versus continuing education?
Continuing education is the process of taking classes to further one's skill set while pursuing an advanced degree/certificate is a program of related classes towards earning an advanced degree or certificate of concentration/expertise in a particular field of study.
I took some college classes before, can I transfer them into a program to finish my degree?
It depends. Call the admissions office and ask to schedule an appointment to discuss transferring credits toward a particular program. Be sure to bring a transcript.
Why should I pursue continuing education?
Employers see continuing education, either as single classes or as an advanced degree, as a strong indication of drive and dedication.
Do I need to take time off from work?
No. Many classes and programs may be taught at night after work purposefully to accommodate a working schedule. Additionally, online programs are available for some classes which you can complete anytime.

Education never stops and continuing education allows an individual to stay fresh and current in their field. It also opens up new and different ways of approaching problems. This makes you more efficient, productive, and creative.
