Internships

Intern2careerNH is currently owned and operated by the New Hampshire College & University Council (NHCUC), a non-profit consortium of 17 public and private institutions of higher education in the state of New Hampshire. These institutions are recognized and highly regarded for their outstanding teaching, research and community service activities. Together, these institutions serve more than 70,000 students throughout the Granite State.

In 2003 the former Forum on Higher Education, currently under the wing of the NHCUC, convened a series of roundtable discussions between the state's business and higher education communities to explore opportunities to increase th enumber of th ecollege interns and foster workforce development and worker retention rates in the state.

In 2006 the NHCUC, with funding support from the New Hampshire High Technology Council (NHHTC) started the development efforts for statewide internship webpage with an expanded concept to include first career job opportunities.

In 2007, the New Hampshire Workforce Opportunity Council (NHWorks) , New Hampshire's Department of Resources and Economic Development (DRED), Northeast Delta Dental and GT Solar Technologies joined the partnership. Today, thanks to Intern2careernh, online recruiting has been made easier.
